Graveyard of the Utopias

Graveyard of the Utopias is a story that I’ve been writing since I was a kid. As someone who has immigrated twice, I am fascinated by languages: how languages influence the way we behave, the way others interact with you, and how it is used in society politically for and against people. That is what my story is about.

Davina was one of the 50 children who were kidnapped 12 years ago from a war-ravaged world to a futuristic utopian world. As thankful as she is to have had escaped the war in a such extremely lucky way, perhaps their worlds are not exactly what they seem. She questions this utopian world, why she and the other 49 children were brought in. Her only clue is that none of them speak the same language.
